We collect information about this because of the legal obligation under section 61(2) of the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2006. Animal Boarding Establishments Act and Conditions of our Animal Boarding License.
The holding of your data is necessary for us to comply with the law, to assist in good animal care, in dialoguing with a vet if necessary for the care of your pet and to provide the best service possible.
We require your consent to continue to hold your data beyond two years from the boarding dates and to effect future bookings using your old records. When you rebook legal obligations re data are again in force.
Your personal information forms part of our contract between us.
The information we are legally required to collect about you includes your name, address, email address, your phone numbers, details of your pet/s, veterinary practice used, emergency contact person, their mobile number, address and email address.
We will never collect any additional information without informing you first.
You can check the details we have by emailing us and will delete any inaccuracies promptly.
We will not share any of the information with any third party unless specified by law.
Local authority officers have a right to see your data and your vet may need your emergency contact number and will probably cross check your address.
We must retain your records for two years.
